PRESS

  • "Tomer Cohen, a Young Exciting Israeli Jazz Guitarist" - Jazz Guitar Today (USA)

  • "A mature record with no ego. It is striking that the American Israeli does not opt for muscle language. He enriches his pastoral melodies with quicksilver notes, scents and colors." - Jazzism (Nederland)

  • "The creative mix of his Israeli and American musical roots produces refreshingly different grooves and a particularly effortless style of playing, even at faster tempos." - Jazz Journal (UK)

  • “Very mature record that doesn’t sound like a performance for guitar fans but a collective effort that focuses on musicality rather than virtuosity.” - Couleurs Jazz (France)

  • “Cohen writes melodies that flow, sometimes in directions you might not expect, and in such a way they require his exceptional technique to perform them, minus showing off any of his years of music lessons.” - The Big Takeover Magazine (USA)

  • "It’s a music of the mind that never sacrifices the passion and soulfulness." - NYS Music (USA)

  • "He has built his "own vocabulary" from his influences not only from jazz, such as Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny and Kurt Rosenwinkel, but also from rock bands: Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Megadeth." - Reforma Newspaper (Mexico)

  • "A quiet and reflective never dull album" - Marlbank (UK)

New album is on the way!

December 23rd, 2021

The last few days were very special for me. I got to record my first album at Bunker Studio with Obed Calvaire & Matt Penman.
So grateful we could do it during these strange times, I can't wait for all of you to hear it.
